Sodium Bromide is used with Professional Quality Granular Pool Chlorine as a catalyst to convert Bromides into the Potent Algaecide - 'Hypobromous Acid'. Also known as a Chlorine Enhancer by some Chemical manufacturers, sodium bromide creates a synergy of high chlorine and high bromine levels.
